This National Trauma Survivor Resource Directory connects individuals and families with trusted, trauma-informed, and survivor-centered support services. Each organization is carefully reviewed to ensure alignment with safety, integrity, and meaningful care. Our goal is to make finding the right support simpler, clearer, and more accessible. Resources may include mental health providers, advocacy organizations, recovery programs, educational services, and community-based support networks.

We are a youth mental health and suicide prevention organization. Throughout the year we host educational events for kids and their families, including our free week long day camp for kids age 4th-8th grade (Camp Dragonfly). In addition, we offer a scholarship program for high school seniors going into a mental health field, manage seven Kindness Rock gardens in local communities, and mentor high school students twice a year in a Real Talk program hosted by a local school district.

Wheels in Motion is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that creates adaptive adventure and recreation events for veterans and individuals living with physical disabilities.

Beyond events, we serve as a resource for community, connection, and peer mentorship following traumatic injury or life-altering diagnosis. We are available to meet individuals in the hospital after a traumatic event, as well as during inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient therapy, support groups, or through personal connection within the community.

Our mission is to walk alongside trauma survivors and their families, helping them rediscover strength, purpose, and possibility through shared experience, mentorship, and meaningful adaptive recreation. I facilitate Suicide Survivors Support Group meetings on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of every month in downtown Lapeer at St. Matthew's Anglican Church located at 220 W Nepessing Street. This group is for people that have lost a loved one to suicide as well as for people that have struggled suicidal thoughts themselves. We share our stories of survival, grief and the trauma that we face losing someone to suicide and the struggles we face to Stay!
